One-Mile Club (October, 2023)….

Mike joined the One-Mile Club on Clinton House Plantation’s rifle range on October 18th, 2023. His coach, former Marine Chief Warrant Officer, Mike Sexton, designs and directs Clinton House’s extensive rifle and pistol courses, training, and competitions. World class describes everything at Clinton House!

Mike’s review of both the MG Arms 50 BMG, ‘Behemoth’ and Clinton House appeared (here) in the December issue of American Outdoor News.

Mike headed back to Clinton House Plantation and met up with his coach Mike Sexton, on May 21, 2024, bringing another MG Arms rifle to the Long-Range course. Not only did Mike repeat his previous success of making the one-mile marker ring (though with added work because of running out of elevation adjustments on the riflescope!), but he also achieved an ~2.5 MOA at 1000-yards on the way up to the mile target. The MG Arms rifle is a prototype named appropriately, the Ultra-Light LR (Long Range) model. The ammunition was Hornady’s 6.5 PRC 147 ELD® MATCH. Pictured below is Mike on the elevated shooting platform at Clinton House’s Long-Range course, preparing to “Send it!” towards the one-mile target.
